We are a boutique UK design house based in Henley-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire. Creating beautiful, contemporary fabric collections for quilting, dressmaking and home sewing.

We work closely with a talented team of designers and premium print mills to produce unique, high quality fabrics that showcase the designer’s individuality and creative styles.

Our Story

David Sweet was the creative force behind Dashwood Studio for 12 years before deciding to step away to start his own design house with business partner Bal Chauhan.

Thread & Ink was founded on our desire to fully control the creative process, while upholding our core values and design philosophy. This approach allows us to create collections that truly reflect our artistic vision.

We are thrilled to continue working with so many talented designers and look forward to showcasing their unique style and individual flair.
